A fence around a fence. The garden was just not big enough to enjoy all the perennials I missed in my city garden. I love the colours and scents that come from the different seasons. They sprout from the bare ground into a sensation of colours that make me want to explore painting. This new “deer proof” fence was built for us to confuse the deer.Apparently the vertical slats make it impossible to jump. So far so good. This fence has been up for a year with no breaches and I hope it stays that way. Friendly Cedar Fencing on Bowen Island came and installed it in a few days. I love the way the light can filter through and casts no shadows.  I can now have more plants that are not deer resistant allowing more bees, butterflies and hummingbird to explore my garden carrying pollen throughout the yard.
